Good Morning everyone It is a new day! Each day is given by the Higher one , no one else. I was fired yesterday at 12:25 noon.. It was regarding mislabeling a document of a dead covid19 pt. I called Life Alliance to report the pt death on the right pt. after a fellow pronounced the pt dead. I have been working in a Covid zone over 4 months non stop. The pandemic was announced March 22nd 2020. However I was working/ taken care of PUI pt long before Covid 19 was pandemic officially.. If they have a real special assignment to give me, the AM CN wiil remove me from the west side to East side or clean side,to have again two very sick pts.in the East pods.Per ICU Director and her AM Manager.
I was supposed to be rotating from clean east to west pods. Clinically, I think it is not the best practice for the pts. Transmission is higher that way. Both west pods are Covid19. pts or suspected ones. In the morning, my night assignment was 95 % changed to 2 different nurses well experienced. They used to call Covid 19 PUI meaning pt under investigation in room . The hospital was screening visitors and the visitors targeted were visitors not well dressed. Going back back to the dead Covid pt. I new that I to wrap the body and received another Covid pt. I take the blame for my mistake. However the MD/fellow involved never called me to state I gave him the wrong label. I identified the pt to him. He wanted me to call the family, courteously , I stated this job is for an MD or supervisor. I had called the ICC Intensive Critical Intensivist .The fellow responded and he stated he will be there shortly. I CALLED HIM AT 1932. HE CAME TO THE UNIT AT 2015. He never called me to state, I mislabel the Life Alliance Alliance document. Two hours later, He came to offer his apologies. I apologize as well. The fellow duty was to check the information as well. The Fellow failed to call the family in the unit. He left the unit to make the phone call. I own up to my mistake today and always. I asked the Co-charge 3 times to speak to a family asking if her parent died. I declined to confirm that information.The Co-charge declined to speak to the family 3 times. Please remember that I did not know the document was mislabeled .
As a seasoned nurse, I know all doctors mistakes are blamed on the nurses. The hospital makes money from their doctors and nurses. The saying goes for nurses cheaper by the dozen. Nurses are easily replaceable. However MD’s bring money to the hospitals. Without MD’s you can not bring in pts. Because, the hospital is paying a RN for the service rendered. However if no doctors are working or hired , they can’t make profits on the pts. Hospitals are a business. It is an industry and always been. I learned it late though. I learned it on my seventh year working as a nurse..70% of nurses today are still compassionate, ,loving, and caring . Less than 10% are advocates for the pts currently. I state so for the last 30 yrs I work at bedside. I dabbed in CN working at a Tenet facility. I declined the positions after 2 months. For $2. more per hr, I was working more than a horse. I am a hard worker, not the lazy kind. . I had been with this current company for six years. This is is my first offense. I also know an employer can fire an employee anytime whenever they feel like it. I dabbed in NM , DON, director of Nursing for year. The job of the DON is to assign blames, signed documents without reading them. and signed for payroll without knowing all the employees, you are signed up for everything. To be at work at 0900- 5pm. I started to get call from 9pm to 6 am calls, the same information by different people. I was pregnant with my first child so I thought with a better pay why not do it.? I was not expecting the every 15 minutes call by different nursing stations, by individuals tech or nurses reporting, they will not come to work. To my knowledge, I knew someone was in charge of staffing. That staffing person was not available after 5 pm. In summary I was receiving all types of calls, most of them repetitive. After my maternity leave, I never went back.
I went back to bedside. At Aventura, I was suspended for 14 days recently., the ICU Director assured me I was not suspended when she called me at 5;22pm on April 7th. I asked her if I was suspended? She stated” I am not suspended, we are going to make sure that never happens again.” She is tough yet empathetic. I have 3 heavy pts for the fist 3 years I worked at Aventura while 2 RN’s would have 1 light pt each. The CN would pass by and stated nothing that I am running a marathon and nurses with one pt. are sitting in the Nursing Station. I brought it to the ICU Director’ attention. It still kept happening for a solid 3 yrs.
I was called by HR Monday 4-20-2020 mid afternoon by partner G., when I could not turn on or turn off my cell phone since Saturday 18th Saturday 3 pm. It was locked. No cell store to unlock it. I got some help from a savy IT on Monday at 5:03pm. It took him 25 minutes to unlock it. When I asked him to show me the steps. He stated Hell NO, NO, NO, He stated the steps were complicated for him.Yet a partner called me on a locked phone. She stated to come the next day Tuesday to HR. She asked me what time would be good for you? I stated 11;00am. I reached HR at 11;25. The person who answered the buzzer asked me whom I was looking for, She stated partner G will be with you soon. I saw Partner G with folders in her arms, stating, I was expecting you at 11; 00 Am. She came in 11:40 entering HR . Partner G stated ” I went to take care some other errands.” I nodded, smiling. Yesterday, I learned a lot on partner employees.
A partner 2 yrs ago fabricated a story on me named Magaly, a true, confidant liar. When I went to HR, to ask for partner Magaly, I was told told she left Aventura, and she is at a better job. At her stance of her ability to lie with confidence, I am not surprised, she got promoted at an HCA hospital. I, then, asked to speak to the person who replaced Magaly Partner G stated she just came in on board few months ago and I recounted to her what Magaly did. Partner G stated, I obviously do not know anything about it. I will contact Your director and partner G.asked me what unit and who is my director?.I responded her questions and partner G stated” I will follow with her”. Yesterday, Partner G called another partner C. Partner G stated you are terminated and showed me a paper that read terminated. Partner G stated that she brings partner C for witnessing the documentation. Director of HR A. when I asked her how long she is been here for she is new to me when I first met her 04-08-2020 at 0840 AM. I was told by the ICU director to stay home.I was called by director on 04-07-2020 at 5;22 pm and she stated to meet her in her office on next day 04-08-20 at 0830 AM.
.. The event of mislabeling happened on 04-06-2020. I asked her how long she has been with us? when I met the Director of HR on 04-08-2020..She stated” I came on board the beginning of the year, however , I worked here in the past for 2 yrs. Now I am back since the beginning of the year” I recall for a while there was no pic of an HR director. 4-21-2020 Partner G was giving me info on insurance, COBRA, and PTO and last pay check. I offered my badge. She stated” it is not necessary. It will be deactivated.” Just like a hotel magnet card key I was thinking. As she was speaking, HR Director A.says Hi, . HR director A. stated” Call the ICU manager” Partner G stated the manager is not available. HR director A stated I have to recopy these documents for the Director must be present. At 12:20 ICU director says hi to me and stated to Partner G if she had gone over the information with me. I asked ICU director what information?. ICU director K. stated did Partner tell you about 2-pts identifiers, I- Care values? I stated no. ICU Director had told me more than twice, she would not lose her job for me, which I completely understand. She can not prefer me over herself. The AM NM D stated to me more than twice ” Anything for the job” The two people involved, the fellow and the Co- charge are still working. The hospital can use their judgement as pleased.. My director told me several times I can not leave later than 0730 with 2 heavy pts. She stated that I need to manage my time better. I stated to her I have 2 heavy clinically pts every night, and I do not complain. She responded” this is “ICU” I see night RN’s with one heavy and on light pt leaving regularly after 0800 or even past 0900 AM.
On MARCH 3rd 2020, as I was giving report on room 418 a new sick Covid 19 pt. ICU director passed me by and stated looking at her watch what are you doing here? I started crying stating an amiadarone gtt. I initiated it on 3-2-2020 at 9:pm and scanned the second gtt at 0600 am on 03-03-2020. Medication is no where to be seen. Medication was witnessed running at 9 pm by ICC, Fellow, and resident working that night. So many other incidents trying to frame me. They (director of ICU and her managers.) Her new night manager was a night charge nurse til 2 months ago. While I was recently in her office on a matter fabricated on another pt in room 418. I had to write a complete set of events which were/are true. ICU director, K and AM manager were ready to send me to the lion’s Den. They finally did yesterday. Each night,that I worked there was a new accusation, On March 3rd, I worked March 1st and 2nd 2020 after the debacle on room 418 another new Covid 19. Am NM tried to write me up with her rubbish statements. ” Pharmacy does not deliver gtt of Amiadarone if the RN does not call it in which makes no sense. All orders are to be delivered. The pharmacist can ask the RN to call MD to clarify med or pharmacist can call pharmacist to clarify a med order himself. The med was delivered to me while I am in the room busy with the pt.
A tech T.Pharmacy tech T delivered meds two times that night, first bolus and first gtt. Second time a quadruple dose of Neosynephrine and second bag of Amiadarone gtt. The night pharmacist would ask me questions if he needed to clarify a med then call the fellow himself. The new Night manager whom got her promotion from CN P. Mid Feb. 2020. NM P. works as CN before. Now as night NM. AM NM D.stated” I gave the meds wrong route witch made no sense” The med can only given one route IV or intravenously. I have many more framed true stories. I am going to look for an editorial publisher and legal counsel for harassment for the last six years. I have much more true stories. The previous hospital had done something similarly, because I am too passionate. I, am an advocate for all, mostly for pts. reporting anything that is reportable by law. All pts are special to me.
I am not a gossiper, minding other’s affair and do not complain about any RN treatment of pt as long the action is not reportable. If anyone can state that I omit or fabricate, and make a false statement today or before all the declarations I made. Please state so.. You know my name , my address and phone numbers. I uploaded my resume list on March 11th ,2020 listing the AM and Night Managers as my referrals. They never say a word to me. The administration CNO J. went to work. He dubbed a full year calendar. the full 2019 up to today after I put the NM as referrals. Now they are listed as Educators.I took so much abuse because I was afraid to lose my health insurance. NM manager P saw me crying uncontrollably one time by personal problems and poor work ethic She stated” You are strong, do not cry,” I cried more. My personal problems are many and i do not discussed them with anyone at work. What they learned about my poor abused life is from the police officers contacting the hospital. I did not even tell the officers when they asked me where I work. My response was “it is not your affair”. But with IT they got the information anyway. ICU director calls me smart. I am neither strong nor smart, My Faith keeps me steady and Our Father moves mountains if one trust Him totally. You guys are shrewd, calculated, mean. I am not. However , the Blood of Jesus covers me. That you can not understand. You are too corrupted to understand that.. After my termination, My voice got more energetic. Due to poor practice in intubating Covid 19 pts. , lack of visors, an ICC A.whom is very smart, , very friendly , wife a nurse, he stated to me. While in the Covid pods, He stated to me” tomorrow is my last day, I am leaving.” I stated “you will be missed terribly”. He used to treat us with pizzas most of the time when he worked. I am never too busy to help if asked. I never say no. I used to help every nurse who got an admission in my pod.. Charge Nurse at night H and all RN’s can attest to it. A male colleague stated to me ” You are a hero, I am not working to be one”. stated by P. Pts compliment every time, I take care of them, despite my every time work accusations.
Officially difficult families wrote letters of recommendation on my behalf and I placed them under AM’s manager’s door. ICU Director given the great recommendation herself, from several families and pts. Some of the great stories I received from a sassy pt in room 418,non covid another new 418. A. Director of ICU K. attempted to turn it into a bad story. I was never named employee of the month let alone employee of the year. I read yesterday that the President of the United States of America Donald Trump gets very angry and brash if a black person talks against his policies. I beg to differ. Donald Trump will devour anyone that goes against his policies. He is running a one man show. His best pals are Barr, his son in law, and Giluanni, not to forget the RUSSIAN president. He admires Vladimir Putin. President Putin does one thing, oppress his people like the Haitian President.
The Covid 19 is a plague from God asking us of distancing ourselves from corruption.. We know Covid 19th is pandemic, ie everywhere. Less than 4% of the world sees it as a plague, not even Churches, who is talking about God. They are talking about him as a business, not truly from their hearts. Each breath I take, is from Jesus. If anything as an accident happens to me, my home, my children, do know the world who is not taking attention to Our Maker that the accident has to do with the President of the United States, CEO of JHS, C. DON of Aventura J., President Putin, Current President of Haiti put in power by the US government.. These 5 persons are very powerful but not more powerful than God. If they able to kill me, So my Celestial Father will embrace me. I love my three children,. I love no one more than The Rock, The Savior, GOD , The Holy Spirit who talks to me constantly as I tuned to Him all the time. A well trained security C who is a well trained servant attempted to harass me yesterday. as I return to get my belongings from my locker. He attempted to be fresh with me giving me orders to follow him. I stated to him” you follow yourself” I made sure he did exactly so ” In Covid 19 time that we are living now, Security, Zealous employee C. violated my personal space, less than one foot away. God knows if he has Covid 19 or not? Aventura Hospital, Trauma II is not screening their employees for Covid19.. You have to be sick before the hospital would screen you. By that time, you are truly sick for days. All declarations made by me are sincere and true. I am covered. So could you. If you choose to. You need to mend your ways first. To all, GOD IS All.
